Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) is a five-star quality rating and improvement system administered by the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. SUTQ recognizes and promotes learning and development programs that meet quality program standards that exceed licensing health and safety regulations. The program standards are based on national research identifying standards which lead to improved outcomes for children.
The program standards are organized into the following four domains:
•Learning and Development:
Is the program using research-based curricula aligned to Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards for birth to kindergarten entry?
•Staff Qualifications and Professional Development:
Have administrators,teachers and assistant teachers
obtained required credentials and ongoing professional
• Administrative and Leadership Practices:
To what extent does the program adhere to an annual continuous improvement process?
•Family and Community Partnerships:
How well does the program engage families and
community partners to support children while they are
enrolled in the program and as they transition into and out of the program?

February 2012-CCP began the process of Step Up to Quality
October 26, 2012- CCP received a ONE STAR RATING
January 2013- CCP received their Quality Achievement Award of $1500 to help further the education and environment of the school
October 2013-received a ONE STAR RATING as a transition to the five star quality rating scale
December 2014- CCP received a TWO STAR RATING!
January 2015- CCP was invited to participate in an accelerated program to register for a THREE STAR RATING!
April 2016-CCP received a THREE STAR RATING!
April 2017-CCP renewed THREE STAR RATING!
